The VALBUK project aimed at implementing and using ECVET principles in order to facilitate access to lifelong learning of not qualified workers, particularly women with a migration background, in the professional areas of cleaning services. Based on the VQTS Model the project aimed at: comparing existing qualifications in the cleaning services sector, developing a common Competence Matrix for enhancing permeability and transferability; identifying guidelines and testing practical solutions in order to combine formal preparatory training and validation of non-formal and informal learning for achieving a qualification on the basis of a modular pathway; developing operational partnerships involving stakeholders of the cleaning sector, in order to assure the sustainability of the model after the conclusion of the project.
