The aim of the project was to show how (units of) learning outcomes used as an organizational principle in vocational education and training can be used in order to achieve a higher quality in the process and effects of VET. The project applied two elements of ECVET technical specifications: the development of units of learning outcomes and the appropriate competence assessment procedures for the units of learning outcomes. Partners from countries with different VET systems wanted to test a commonly applicable didactic concept for improving the quality of education. The focus was on the qualification\/ working area ‘Mechatronics’. The VQTS Competence Matrix ‘Mechatronics’ was used as the starting point for the work in the project.<\/p>\n
